Update 17 March, 2017:
I’ve been at my foster home for a few weeks now and while I’m still shy, foster mom says that I have made good progress. I’m learning that I can trust my human and am happy to see her when she comes home. I’m even starting to like it when she gives me cuddles. I’m doing very well with my leash training and am so good at going outside to do my business. No accidents for me. I’m still very shy of new people but foster mom says that may take some time. Once I get to know you I am the sweetest little girl. My ideal home would be a quiet one with someone who has lots of patience and love. The most important for me? Having a confident canine companion. The dogs here are the reason I am starting to come out of my shell so finding a home with another dog to show me the ropes is my greatest wish.
I came into SCARS care with my sisters a couple of weeks ago. I’m about 5 months old and am a very shy little girl but foster mom says I’m so sweet. Even as scared as I was when I first came in I never offered to bite or even growl. I’m here now at my foster home with some nice dogs who are teaching me that you humans aren’t scary. I love the dogs and the cats. I watch that the other dogs are always happy to see foster mom so I’m getting more comfortable with her. She does feed me and give me scratches so she can’t be that bad. I let her pet me and pick me up but it’s all so new to me. Foster mom says that I am making good progress it shouldn’t be too long before I am ready to meet new people. In the meatime I’m happy to be here running and playing with the other dogs. Foster mom will keep you undated on my progress.
I will need to go to a home with another confident dog.
