Hi I’m Madeline, you can call me Maddy. For reasons I will never understand, I was left all alone with no food, water or love when my family packed up and moved away without me. I was finally saved a week later by a loving SCARS volunteer after neighboring tenants heard crying and contacted the landlord who got a hold of SCARS. The SCARS volunteer came to investigate and found me, a tiny black cat, starving and hiding in a dark basement suite, scared, alone and desperate for love and companionship. The SCARS volunteer took me home as I was suffering from severe separation anxiety. I stuck close to her and savored every snuggle! As the days pasted my saviour and feline foster siblings helped me to feel safe again.

I have now moved to a new foster home where my confidence has continued to grow! I am a VERY energetic young cat who loves to run and run and play and run! I would love to go to a home with another active cat to keep me busy, currently that job has be given to my SCARS foster friend Jordan. We love to rough house and he doesn’t mind when I jump on his back or swat him in the face, he is a good friend!

Don’t let all that newfound confidence and energy fool you, I still love my snuggles! I curl up in bed with my new foster mom every night and most nights I end up under the covers to get as close to her as possible! Foster mom says I am the sweetest little girl who deserves nothing less than a family who will promise to love me, care for me and protect me for the rest of my life. If you think you could be my furever family, I can’t wait to meet you so please contact SCARS and let them know!

Please note: If other cats/dogs in your home are not spayed/neutered, we will deny your application. SCARS exists due to lack of spaying/neutering and it is our goal to end this cycle. If there is a documented medical reason for your animal to not be spayed/neutered, we will work with you.
