Update February 7:  I’ve learned a lot about trusting people, the people I’ve met have been very good to me.   I can be a little hesitant at first but will now approach people for attention.   Foster mom is very pleased with how well I accept attention.
I can’t wait to meet my adoptive home.   If you’re the furever family for me, please contact SCARS.
January 21:  If I could tell you the story of my beginning, it would go something like this- my mom and my siblings (Chipman, Karla & Pamela) were surrendered to SCARS because of dogs wanting to harm us.  I think our lives were in danger.  Our first foster home gave us good care and we thrived.  I moved to my second foster home a couple of weeks ago.  My mom is so very leery of people and I lacked the socializing with people I needed early in life, I’ve learned some of her reluctance to interact with people.  My experience with people has been good and I’m good with people around me but don’t want them to come too close.
Given that I had limited socializing when I was younger I’m going to need an adoptive home that has the experience to build my trust and confidence.  I am good with the dogs in my foster home and it would be good to have a dog in my furever home.  With the right home giving me the right training, I know I can become a responsible adult.   If you have the experience to work with me and can give me the home I need, please contact SCARS.
I’ve had my vet check and all is good.   I’m ready to move  in with my furever family.

Special needs:

Needs another dog in the home.
Needs an adopter with experience and expertise with shy puppies.

Please note: If other cats/dogs in your home are not spayed/neutered, we may deny your application. SCARS exists due to lack of spaying/neutering and it is our goal to end this cycle. If there is a documented medical reason for your animal to not be spayed/neutered, we will work with you.
