I’m Bumble & my start with SCARS could be a PSA to spay/neuter your pets.  You see there was this girl dog that hadn’t been spayed & all the boy dogs not neutered were interested in her.  Then some fights broke out & I got a nasty injury to my left hind/flank area from another dog.  A nice lady from SCARS came & picked me up, then took me to the vets to get me fixed up.  I’m still healing up as you can tell from my pics, but I’m much better now.

I’m an average guy weighing in at 62 lbs & 23 inches at shoulder.  I have a fabulous brindle coloured coat & an ole man/grumpy face (foster mum says).

I have manners, by need to be reminded of them at times.  I am very food motivated guy, that will help you with my training.  I already know sit & shake.  If you toss a treat into the crate I will go in & be settled for the duration of my “lock up”.  Watch your fingers when giving me a treat, I’m working on “gentle”.  My leash skills, they are a work in progress.

I love my humans & like to come in for attention & enjoy a scratch or two, but also enjoy the comforts of a cushy dog bed.  I can get a bit excited & jump up when I think you have something interesting in your hands.  Even though I have a leg injury, I still like to play with my foster sister, when it’s cone free time, game on!  I’m house trained, but the foster folks suggest keeping food & treats off the counter!

Having a foster home is the bees knees but I’m really looking for my forever home, are you it?  Someone who will enjoy my quirks, a family that will love me as much as I love them, who will take me on walks & chill out with me.   If there is another dog in the house, that’s cool, but not necessary.  If you are interested in meeting me, please fill out an application for me.

Please note: If other cats/dogs in your home are not spayed/neutered, we may deny your application. SCARS exists due to lack of spaying/neutering and it is our goal to end this cycle. If there is a documented medical reason for your animal to not be spayed/neutered, we will work with you.
