Hello, my name is Chevy! As you can see, I’m something of a special guy. Between my frostbitten ears and my damaged back leg, it’s clear I’ve had a rough few months.

While my ears are healing, I sadly ended up losing my back leg. I’m recovering nicely, though, and am looking forward to finding my forever family.

Right now I still mostly just sleep, but I’m starting to perk up little by little. I’m getting interested in toys and bat them a little bit; my foster mom thinks I might be the kind of guy who loves to play but we’ll see how I do. I’m a very friendly boy and I love to be petted and cuddled.
I even let my foster mom pick me up and give me my medicines with no complaints.

Despite my limp, I always do my best to meet her at the door when she comes home – I want to show her I’m so happy she’s back! My foster cat-brother and I are still figuring things out but it’s mostly because my injury scares him, I actually don’t mind him at all and I hope we can be friends.

Did you know cats are able to easily adapt to life as a tripod with simple steps like weight management & avoiding unnecessary flights of stairs & jumping? Ask my foster mom for details when you come meet me!

Please note: If other cats/dogs in your home are not spayed/neutered, we may deny your application. SCARS exists due to lack of spaying/neutering and it is our goal to end this cycle. If there is a documented medical reason for your animal to not be spayed/neutered, we will work with you.
