Update! I’ve been at my foster home for a few weeks now and have started to come out of my shell. Foster mom says I’m a sweet little gal that would do best in a quieter home with an older cat to look up to. I’m the kind of cat that likes to be in the same room as my people or the other cats, but do not actively seek affection from people. I do purr when pet and given bum scratches and will every so often cuddle with my foster mom on the couch. She says those moments are special for her and tells me how happy she is with my progress. So if you’re looking for a companion for your resident cat that’s quiet and sweet then I hope you consider me.
I came into SCARS care with my brother Chaplin. We were scared. We had never been around people before. The world we were born in and survived in was taken away and we were brought to a new place. But this place was warm; there was food and I felt a more safe then I had ever felt before. Shortly after, Chaplin and I were moved to our foster home in the city. There were other cats here and they welcomed us with open paws. We love playing with the other cats at night when everyone is upstairs asleep.  During the day we hang out in the backroom where a baby gate keeps us safe from the resident dogs. They’re a little too scary for us right now. Foster mom says I have an awesome personality, little feisty with a lot of sweet.
My ideal home would be with an experienced cat family that has at least one older confident cat.

Please note: If other cats/dogs in your home are not spayed/neutered, we will deny your application. SCARS exists due to lack of spaying/neutering and it is our goal to end this cycle. If there is a documented medical reason for your animal to not be spayed/neutered, we will work with you.
