Update Dec 31/17: My name is Flurry. I have been with SCARS now for about 4 weeks. In that time I have learned to share my food, sometimes let the other dogs win at tug, and how to go into my kennel without putting up a big fuss. I still “forget” not to jump up or on the couch occasionally. I really just want to kiss my foster parents and snuggle is all. I would love to meet my forever humans soon who could teach me manners on a leash so we could go on walks. I’m about 65 pounds of pure muscle so that will take some patience. I have a lot of energy in the morning, but settle as the day goes on. I would be good with other dogs or alone as long as you have time to spend playing with me. I’m not picky with dogs, but some don’t love me. I’m an acquired taste like a fine wine. I take time to learn the boundaries of each dog, but will convince them to love me over time like I have with my foster sisters. I am a little mouthy when we play still and am trying really hard to work on that too. I know the difference between adults and kids and adjust my play level accordingly. I loooooove kids. They aren’t a must, but that would be so great. Endless pets and cuddles from people is my main goal.
Hi I’m flurry,
I pretend to be an independent guy at first, but eventually I warm up and want your affection. I know basic commands like sit, stay, off, down and lay down. I’m about 2 years old and rambunctious. Im not too big, I don’t mind being handled, but I am verrryyyy strong! So, when I want to resist I absolutely can. Picture trying to move a brick building my foster mom says. I need lots of work with going into the kennel. We decided I might try being confined to a bedroom while they are away instead since I’m not a chewer and I am not anxious. I love to play tug with dogs or people. Basically whoever is willing to play and doesn’t mind losing every time. I am good with knowing what are dog toys and what not to chew. I am very motivated by treats. I LOVE kids! I met 4 kids ages 5-10 recently and was in heaven! No cats. I have already tried to eat the rabbits out front through the window and wasn’t quite sure the old resident pug wasn’t a chew toy before I realized he might be a dog. I am learning boundaries with the other dogs. Foster mom thinks with the right people I will thrive and be a well behaved people pleaser.
