Update July 13: Things have been going pretty well for me. I made it to the vet for my spay and vaccines and I actually did pretty well. I’m still a bit wild but foster mom has been picking me up more often and I tolerate it much better now. Every night when foster mom goes to bed I climb into bed and sleep next to her but for some reason she still scares me a bit the rest of the time! Overall though I’m better every day. I enjoy having foster mom pet me a bit now, and I love to play with foster mom which is helping her win me over. I’m not quite a cuddly lap cat yet but I’ll get there! It’s not easy to learn to trust people! I really need a cat friend in my new home, since cuddling with my cat friends is my favorite thing, and I also have tons of energy and could use a play mate!

Hello everyone. I came into SCARS having no socialization with people and it’s been a big struggle for me and my brother Wilson, but we’re still only about 3 months old so we’re hopeful that we can turn things around. SCARS is trying hard to help socialize us by placing us in foster care since without that we have no chance at being happy, well-adjusted indoor cats and our options in life are very limited. We aren’t ready to go yet, since foster mom can’t catch us to get us to the vet and we are also still too scared to move on to our new home, but please keep us in mind and watch our progress. We’re getting better every day and we no longer hide under the bed. We’ve made ourselves very at home here, sleeping on the couch and playing with our foster siblings. I particularly love to sleep in the bed! We love the other cats here and they’re always fun play or cuddle with. I’m a bit more outgoing than my brother Wilson and I’ve already started to cuddle up next to my foster mom, but I don’t let her approach me yet. She often finds me laying with my head on her pillow watching her sleep, since I want to understand her better and I’m very curious about humans!

Please note: If other cats/dogs in your home are not spayed/neutered, we will deny your application. SCARS exists due to lack of spaying/neutering and it is our goal to end this cycle. If there is a documented medical reason for your animal to not be spayed/neutered, we will work with you.
