Update

February 7:   I’m doing well in my foster home and am learning that people are okay.   I’m still not sure about being touched, I’ve made a lot of progress but am still a bit cautious.
I know the right home for me is out there and I can’t wait to meet you.   Please contact SCARS if you’re my forever home.
January 21:  My siblings Bonita, Chipman, Pamela and I are lucky to be here to tell you our story, if only I could speak people.   My mom and us babies were given to SCARS because other dogs were attacking us and there was the danger we would all be harmed.  Our first foster home provided the care we needed and when we could leave, we moved to our second foster home.
I’m a very shy girl, very much behind in my socializing.   I like my foster home and run around playing with the toys, my siblings and the other dogs here but I don’t want to come too close to people and I really don’t like to be picked up.   My mom is very leery of people and I’ve learned her lack of trust, I’m overly cautious.
People have always been good to me but my contact with people has been minimal.   I need an adopter that has had experience with shy pups and has the expertise to give me the training I need to be a good member of society.  I’m good with the dogs in my foster home and need to have another dog in my adoptor’s home.
I’m having my vet check this week, will update later.   If you meet the qualifications for my furever home, please contact SCARS.
My vet check was good, no abnormalities.  I’m ready to move in with my furever family.

Special needs:

Needs another dog in the home.
Needs an adoptor with experience and expertise with shy puppies

Please note: If other cats/dogs in your home are not spayed/neutered, we may deny your application. SCARS exists due to lack of spaying/neutering and it is our goal to end this cycle. If there is a documented medical reason for your animal to not be spayed/neutered, we will work with you.
