Hi everyone I am Lyric. I am just 21 pounds.. 1-2 years old. Who knows for my breed mix.. something sporty and vocal for sure. My tail is too big for my slight build and I sometimes wag it and knock myself over…. my tongue sticks out when I am nervous…and I can run really fast. I am looking for a nice acreage home, with a dog buddy or 2 and patient people who like to hang out around home. I am a spunky introvert, not a social butterfly.
I am loving life with SCARS! Once I am settled into my home I am a bit of a fire cracker! I love toys – tug, fetch, flirt, chewing, squeeking, all of them. I do have quite a bit of energy but I am great at self entertaining with toys and dog friends in a big fenced yard. Then in my down time I snuggle in on the couch for a nap.
I love to play with my canine foster siblings but I am nervous meeting new dogs and it takes quite a while for me to really be friends, I do need a home with a friendly canine role model and play mate but I appreciate a calm respectable dog – not one that is in my face trying to play from the first second. How rude.
I am nervous of strangers too so prefer to have some space at first and won’t really warm up until you are my consistent person but once you are my people I adore affection (to a weird extreme level, I nap on chests, heads, laps, necks).
My biggest quirk is I like to conquer things on my own schedule. I am anxious of being trapped and having my flight option taken away in strange environments.
I have taken to my harness and leash but only for exploring around my acreage foster home – I prefer to be off leash and stay closer to home, leash walking in a neighborhood is not an option for me. But I am starting to be more confident exploring the farmers fields off leash at my foster home.
Other friendly dog in the home and fenced yard.
