Hello everyone, my name is Missy and I am new to SCARS. When the good people of SCARS found me I was in pretty rough shape. Found living under a deck, I had a considerable limp that made it very hard for me to get around. It was determined that I had a torn ACL in my rear left knee. Ouch. On June 29 I had surgery to repair it and I am feeling so much better now. It will be a few months before I am chasing squirrels but I am working on it. My foster mom says I am very quiet, sweet, calm and kind... aw shucks, that makes me blush a little. I love going for walks and I am working really hard to be good on my leash, but these things take a bit of time. I have been told I can be a bit fussy with my food but what can I say, I like what I like. It has also been said that I am needy with people and don't like to be too far away from them. But that is a compliment, cause I just love the people I get to know. The little humans I have come in contact with confuse me so I think it is best we don't mingle too much. The bigger ones are very nice though. If you would like to help a pretty black and white girl, try to put her difficult past behind her and give her a great future, I am the girl for you. Please fill out an application, it is the first step in our lifelong journey together.

Please note: If other cats/dogs in your home are not spayed/neutered, we may deny your application. SCARS exists due to lack of spaying/neutering and it is our goal to end this cycle. If there is a documented medical reason for your animal to not be spayed/neutered, we will work with you.
