Hi I am Neo and I am a very sweet boy.
I am a really cool breed mix too, since I have a natural bob tail there is only so many breeds I could be.. but I look like a miniature German Shepherd. Still young, 1-2 years old and 32 pounds with a bit of weight yet to gain.
I came in to SCARS in August with a group of my housemates, emaciated and scared. Now I have just moved to a new foster home and I settled in right away, in general I can be quite anxious with change though.
I love affection from people but can be a bit nervous for the first few minutes. At home I love nothing more than a snuggle on the couch with my foster parents.
I have a big yard and playing outside with my foster sisters is so much fun. I run like a baby deer mixed with a cat in the oddest bouncy, twisty fashion. I am doing great with leash and crate training but have some house manners to work on (like counter surfing – there was no rules where I grew up so I think everything is fair game). Full disclosure, sometimes in my crate I make velicoraptor noises to remind you I am in a box and would prefer to be with you.
I will need a home with a friendly dog to help be a role model and give me a chance to reach my full potential. With that and confident owners the sky is the limit but there will be some work to integrate me into life in the city. On an acreage I could likely due without a fence but in town I need a yard for space to safely exercise and play. Please be aware though it takes me time to warm up to dogs, like the meet and greet we will not be friends. After you take me home I will warm up and I love my dog friend and want to play a lot.
If you think you could be my match apply soon, you won’t be sorry!
