Hello!!  Purebred Shepherd girl here……… It’s me, Roxie – checking in to let you know how AWESOME I’m doing. Since coming in to SCARS and having my hip surgery done, I’ve certainly come a long way. My foster mom says that I’m a really big inspiration, because despite my rough start in life, I am a big ball of sunshine, and I always light up everyone’s day. I have so much energy that my foster family has stepped up their walking routine so they can get me to the dog park every day! I love to run and play and my favorite thing to play is chase! I live with two kitties, and I do well with them, although I do wish they’d want to play with me. I get scared around dogs that are very dominant – but other than that I’m really easy going and love being around other dogs! My foster brother is my best bud.

I also would really love to do some formal training. I am very smart, and have learned lots since being in my foster home, but I do still have a few things that I need to work on. I’m a pretty goofy girl – my foster mom stays home with me all day, but when my foster dad goes to work, I’ll go into the bedroom and take his jeans and PJ pants to the living room with me so I can cuddle them until he gets home! (I just melted your heart, didn’t I?!?!) I’m young, gorgeous, lovely and smart. What are you waiting for? Click the link to an adoption application.   Let’s get this show on the road!!

Please note: If other cats/dogs in your home are not spayed/neutered, we will deny your application. SCARS exists due to lack of spaying/neutering and it is our goal to end this cycle. If there is a documented medical reason for your animal to not be spayed/neutered, we will work with you.
