Well this is a sad state of affairs... we forgot to put Goose on the website. Our poor Goosey didn't make the change from the former website and when we noticed we clearly had to update a few things. Goose is a four-year-old male shepherd mix and has a large amount of fears and anxieties. Goose is happy here and loves the other dogs. He does not adapt to change very well, and stress sends him into a tail spin. That being the case, we decided to keep Goose here as a sanctuary dog. Goose loves all dogs which is good since that's what lives here mostly. He tolerates my kids but keeps a wary eye on them. He is great off leash, since he is mostly afraid of everything he tends to not run away ;-). His best friend is Tyson, which works nicely since Tyson is also a sanctuary dog. We didn't plan that, they just had an instant bond when they met and have been inseparable ever since. Taking turns at everything from wrestling strategies to trying to unlock the gate... the dynamic duo.
I’m a Sanctuary Animal
What’s a sanctuary animal? Sanctuary animals are permanent wards of SCARS due to medical conditions or behavioural issues and we are not likely to ever find an adoptive family.
SCARS is committed to giving these animals a home and the love, care and attention they deserve! We house them at our two main intake facilities.
We look to businesses to sponsor Sactuary Animals to help us offset the cost of housing them.
