“G’day cobber, Scotty here.  As you see I’m a bit of an Aussie Shepherd but what the other mutt in me is, well your guess is as good as mine on that.  Still a bit of a youngster, only about eight months old and going through doggy puberty, you know what that means, full of hell and raring to go.

Had a bit of a rough start but things are on the up and up now. A lovely lady from SCARS came along and  rescued me. Having a swell time here in me new digs, real cushty it is. Three square a day, all I can drink and a real cute Sheila to play with.  Bit of a skinny bugger I am, so the folks are getting me fattened up. Need to get some weight on before I go get tutored, I think that’s what they said.

Getting some training in, never been on a leash before and it was killing me, I was screaming so, but now realise it is not so bad.  I will need a lot more training, but am ready to learn. I am a persistent beggar but slowly things are getting through to me. I now know how to sit when asked, most times.  I can somewhat wait for my grub but once I go to it I just scarf it down.

I am now crate trained only because my foster folks are sneaky with the treats and I follow the treats into the crate!  I am quiet all night and only start kicking it up when I need to go to the Dunny (No1 and No2)! Speaking of kicking it up I can be quite vocal at times especially if you leave the room and I can’t see you for five seconds.

I love the folks and my canine foster sister. Now I can almost get up into their lap if I am sneaky about it. They think I am so cute now that I have been for a Wash and Brush up morning at The Pooch and Pony! I am so soft and fluffy, just so damned adorable.

My ideal new folks should fair dinkum, like going walkabout, be ready to feed me all day if I can persuade them. They should be prepared to be loved beyond my wildest dreams. I am prepared to become a real couch loving cuddle hog if required.

Please note: If other cats/dogs in your home are not spayed/neutered, we may deny your application. SCARS exists due to lack of spaying/neutering and it is our goal to end this cycle. If there is a documented medical reason for your animal to not be spayed/neutered, we will work with you.
