Hi my name is Selina, I am just recovering from Parvo so won’t be up for adoption until the end of February.  I came into SCARS very thin and timid, but am gaining weight and getting more confident everyday, having my brother by my side has really helped me with this, so a home with another dog would really be helpful.

I am a really affectionate girl who will jump on my foster mom or dad’s lap and give them lots of hugs and kisses, and just chill on your lap for as long as you will have me there. In my foster home there are 2 other dogs who are patient with all our energy. And the cats, well that’s a different story. We don’t mind them but don’t think they like us chasing them to much. I love playing outside now that the weather is warmer, but some noises still scare me. My house training is really coming along but still need reminding. I seem to find a safe place in my crate and I love when my foster mom gives me my Kong filled with yummy treat. If you think you want to be my forever home and help me learn all of the good puppy behaviors, fill out an application to meet

Well, my one with SCARS has been short and sweet. In the utter cold, we got saved with our siblings. We were skinny, but the rescuers thought we could have a fighting chance.

With a few hours in our foster care, we started to go downhill south. We were driven to a vet, and the dreaded outcome of Parvo was mentioned. We are currently fighting for our lives at Westlock vet. Please continue to support our journey by the kind words or donations. We need all the love we can get right now!

Please note: If other cats/dogs in your home are not spayed/neutered, we may deny your application. SCARS exists due to lack of spaying/neutering and it is our goal to end this cycle. If there is a documented medical reason for your animal to not be spayed/neutered, we will work with you.
