Tahya came into SCARS care pregnant and safely delivered 8 puppies on May 19th. Tahya appears to be a mixed breed of Border Collie and possibly some husky. The father of the puppies is completely unknown. Tahya is about 50 pounds, but there is no telling what size the puppies may be so an adopter should be prepared and wanting to have a large dog. The puppies are happy and a bit on the shy side. Given they are likely part border collie they will likely be very active and intelligent dogs so forever families should be active and have lots of activities that they intend to do with their dog. The puppies will not be ready to go till their forever homes until towards the end of July, but we are opening up applications at this time.

Please note: If other cats/dogs in your home are not spayed/neutered, we may deny your application. SCARS exists due to lack of spaying/neutering and it is our goal to end this cycle. If there is a documented medical reason for your animal to not be spayed/neutered, we will work with you.
