Q: What does SCARS do with the money raised?

A: Second Chance Animal Rescue Society (SCARS) is a Society incorporated under the laws of Alberta. SCARS plans to raise approximately $2.5M this year through fundraising campaigns. It will cost the organization approximately $110,000 to raise this amount. Funds raised go to support rescue costs and medical attention for rescued SCARS animals and to support our mission to promote the humane care and protection of all animals and prevent cruelty and suffering. Q: What type of payment method is accepted?

A: Our auction site accepts payment through Stripe (ApplePay, GooglePay, credit card, or Visa/MasterCard debit card).

Q: How do I get my items?

A: All items are to be picked up within Edmonton by the winner. If you require your winning item(s) to be shipped you will be responsible for all shipping fees which will be added to the winning bid value. To make arrangements for your item(s) to be shipped please contact us at auctions@scarscare.ca.

Q: I forgot my password, how do I reset it?

A: If you have forgotten your account password, click “Lost Your Password?” on the login screen when you make your bid.

Q: Why do I have to create a new login for the SCARS auction site?

A: We recently updated our online auction site and require you to sign up again, we apologize for the inconvenience. Once you have done this you will not be required to do create a new account again.

Q: Why do I get an error: “Unexpected developer error, please try again later” when I try to pay with GPay?

A: This is an issue with popups being disabled. If popups are enabled/allowed GPay will process normally.
