Grab the hair gel, dust off the leg warmers, break out the neon and get ready to go Bark to the Future! This year’s Critters & Cocktails gala is taking us back to the decade of big hair, bold colours, mixtapes and totally awesome style.
Come dressed in your best ’80s-inspired gear—or just come ready for a great night supporting the animals of SCARS.
Table Host & Table Card Sponsor Options
Table Host — $1,200
Includes a reserved table for eight, recognition on your table and a $400 donation to SCARS.
Table Card Sponsor — $600
Includes two event tickets, recognition on a table and a $400 donation to SCARS.
The Online Auction Is Open to Everyone
Our online auction opens Saturday, October 24, two weeks before the gala. Anyone can register, bid and win auction items, whether you’re joining us in person on November 7 or bidding from home.
How to register and get ready to bid
Getting ready for the auction only takes a few minutes. We recommend registering now so you're ready when bidding opens October 24.
- Create your ReadySetAuction account — enter your name, email address and phone number.
- Confirm your email — follow the link in the confirmation email to complete your registration and sign in.
- Open the Auction Catalog — select Auction Catalog, then View Catalog to browse the items being added now.
- Place a bid on the Test item — find the Test item in the catalog and place a bid. The first time you bid, ReadySetAuction will ask you to enter your credit card information.
- You're ready to bid! — bidding on auction items opens Saturday, October 24 and continues through Bark to the Future.
We recommend bidding on the Test item now. This gets your credit card set up ahead of time so you're ready when bidding opens October 24.
Help Make our Auction a Success
We are still accepting quality items and experiences for our live and online auctions. Your donation helps make Critters & Cocktails a success and supports the animals in SCARS’ care.
Eligible donations may receive a charitable tax receipt in accordance with CRA requirements, and donors will be acknowledged in our auction catalogue where appropriate.

We can arrange pickup, or donations can be dropped off at the SCARS Morinville Rescue Centre or Viva Pets, 15004 107 Ave NW, Edmonton.
