January 16, 2022… I’m Emmy and I was rescued by SCARS this week. I was found emaciated and on the brink of starvation. I was left behind by the family I once had and luckily a neighbour took me in and called for help. Once I arrived at my foster home, I couldn’t believe the amount of love, attention, food, & exercise I was receiving.
I’m thankful to SCARS for rescuing me and giving me a better life. I’m thankful to my foster home for providing constant meals, cuddles, and a warm place to sleep.
I’m not yet available for adoption but stay tuned, you will see me soon!

January 26 update …
Hi friends! Emmy here. Last week you probably remember reading my story…I was on the verge of starvation when I was rescued by SCARS. Since arriving at my foster home, I’ve gotten so much healthier in just 8 days! My foster mom feeds me quite frequently, it’s the best. I’ve put on some weight and I’ve gained so much more energy. I love going on walks. I’m very aware of my surroundings, sometimes I get a little nervous when I see other dogs and I start barking but I think I’ll get better when I realize they’re not all that scary. I am so grateful for SCARS and everyone involved in getting me here to my safe, warm and loving foster home. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! – xoxo Emmy
