This is Kaycee, a beautiful collie cross who was abandoned with 3 puppies. When a volunteer showed up to pick her and the puppies up, the pups were gone; we were told someone took them.
We loaded Kaycee up and took her to our rescue centre. We noticed she had a hole in her side that appeared to be a pellet hole. Sadly we were correct, but the vet could remove it with no damage. It’s common to have dogs come in that have been shot with pellets.
Besides a few stitches and some bad guts from eating garbage Kaycee is recovering well. Welcome to the start of your new journey Kaycee!
