SCARS’ newest tri-pod wasn’t going to let an injury hold him back. Brucie came from a rural pound in northern Alberta. Animal control was concerned about one of his front legs. He was not using it and it was covered in sores. Brucie was picked up and went straight to the vet, we were thinking it may be a broken bone. Sadly, it was nerve damage from an injury and it could not be fixed. The sores were being caused by him dragging his leg. Unfortunately, we had to amputate his leg. Brucie is doing well and recovering at Westlock vet. Once he is well enough, he will be moving to a foster home that is able to work with him on his journey to finding a forever home.
