Hello everyone, my name is Smokey and I have had a tough go of it this last few weeks. The good people of the Alberta Spay Neuter Task Force took me in recently and I owe them my life for it. The volunteers thought I might have been poisoned because I had no idea how to walk or even get up off the floor. I was so disoriented. They went into saviour mode and got me into the excellent treatment centre at VCA Canada Guardian Veterinary Centre. I had a whole bunch of unflattering tests done to me and they decided the best treatment was a feeding tube because I needed food in my belly in the worst way! Let me tell you, feeding tubes…not fun, but it sure made me feel better. I had visitors come and see me and find out just how much of a purr machine and general love bug I am. SCARS are now my new heroes as they have taken me into their care. I am back on my feet again and doing much better which is good. Thanks everyone, it sure is good to know there are so many people out there willing to help kitties like me when I need them.

How about showing SCARS some love by donating a little something for my medical costs? You can do this by visiting the SCARS website scarscare.ca/donate. That would really help out!

Watch for me on our website once I’m ready for adoption. I will have to sort through all of the wonderful applications for people wanting to take me home and make me a part of their family.
